Aman Amanpour is an Independent Petrochemicals & Energy Consultant since April 2010 after retiring from Shell.

His last two positions were President Shell Chemicals Middle East and thereafter General Manager New Business for Middle East , Caspian and South Asia regions . In the former role he was leading the Chemicals Business, Partnerships and JVs of Shell in the Middle, while in the latter role he was responsible for creating and developing New Oil, Gas and Integrated Business Opportunities and Partnerships in the greater region. Aman, with a distinguished career of 32 years, has attained deep and broad expertise, experience and networks across the regions and in different sectors of the whole Hydrocarbon Value Chain. Among his clients are  leading global and regional Chemicals and Energy corporations, as well as related Service providing enterprises.  

Aman is a recognized expert and leader in Petrochemicals and Energy industries with many success stories in areas of operational management, process development, leading major new investments and asset development, creating new business, joint venture set up / management, leadership of global busiess units, marketing and sales, contributions to the industry associations with several publications and many speeches.

Having worked within Shell in diverse techo-commercial, senior business and govenance leadership roles, Aman Amanpour has started his career with Procter & Gamble Company where he had been acting in different areas such as technical, project, production, brand and plant manager.

A German citizen born in Iran, Aman holds Master degrees in Chemical Engineering as well as in Computer Aided Engineering, completed several business, management and leadership programs and is fluent in several languages.

Aman is married with two sons, enjoys dealing with challenges facing the industry, studying / working on intellectual / socio-economic themes, different sports, as well as coaching and guiding of young talent.
